Jazzango consists of the singer-songwriter Tuija Komi with her grandiose voice from Finland, and the award winning accordion player and composer Vlad Cojocaru from Moldavia.
The two musicians meet the challenge of an intimately small duo and reveal their play with passion and ease. Their re-creations of bossanova, jazz- and pop classics have a refreshing sound. As the band name suggests, Jazzango’s repertoire also includes the “Blues of the Finns” – the Finnish tango as well as compositions by Astor Piazzolla and other masters of the Argentinian tango. The two romantics interpret these tender Ballads with great sensibility and a lot of feeling.
Tuija is also a multilingual talent and sings in Finnish, English, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish and German.
